*Position : Cyber Security Engineer (Cyber Intel) * *Location : Bowie MD or Atlanta, GA * *Duration : 12+ Months Phone / Skype * * Job Description* · Good amount of experience in IT and information security (Arch, Analysis, etc.) · Putting together products for c-level and technical audiences · 5-10 years Experience *Opportunity Details: * The Principal Security Engineer (Cyber Intel) is responsible for the collection, analysis and incorporation of threat intelligence in support of organizational network defense. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing intelligence products regarding those threats which are relevant to the client, as well as incorporating gathered intelligence into organizational tools and processes. Additionally, the successful candidate will lead all malware and forensic analysis efforts. * Responsibilities: * - Gather and analyze cyber intelligence from multiple sources to determine organizational relevance; - Produce both regularly reoccurring and targeted threat intelligence products for consumption by both technical and senior leadership audiences; - Work with internal groups to incorporate actionable intel and indicators of compromise (IOC) into security tools and processes; - Lead malware and forensic analysis efforts in support of investigations, incident response and the overall strengthening of security posture; - Maintain a high level of situational awareness in regards to emerging threats, threat actors and exploitation techniques; - Deliver cyber intelligence briefings to both senior leadership and technical audiences; - Develop and maintain relevant process documentation; - Assist in the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for operational success; and - Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members. * Qualifications: * - 7 years' experience in the information security or risk management field; - 5 years' military, law enforcement or private sector intelligence experience; - Demonstrated knowledge and experience in malware analysis and forensic investigations; - Demonstrated experience writing rules and/or alerts for SIEM, IPS and endpoint protection tools; - In-depth knowledge of current threat actors, techniques and trends in cyber security; - Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization; - Ability to train, guide and mentor junior team members; - Possession of industry certifications is preferred (CISSP, CHFI, GREM); and - Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
