*Position : System Administrator* *Location : San Francisco, CA* *Duration : 2 Months* *Expirence: 8+ Yrs* *Four year degree in IT, Computer Science or related field OR equivalent work experience* 3 years’ experience providing system and/or application level support for customer facing platforms *Linux Operating System administration (CentOS, RedHat, etc) * *Software management and deployment tools (Puppet, Chef, etc)* *Scripting and automation (Python preferred, some Perl is good)* *Experience with Ansible for automation* *Cloud management technologies (AWS, Cloudstack, Rackspace, etc)* *Be familiar with New Relic, DataDog, Graylog and/or Loggly* *Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment* *Desirable Skills* Participate in software and system performance analysis and tuning, service capacity planning and demand forecasting. Manage the availability, scalability, security and performance of the WPM and IPI platforms. Ensure that all monitoring requirements are met and carry out periodic reviews of checks currently in place to ensure service meets or exceeds customer expectations. Test and install security patches and address any identified vulnerabilities, in coordination with the Neustar Information Security Team. Coordinate maintenance with other team members for installs and staging activities, execute installation, troubleshoot issues during installs and coordinate with the Development and QA teams for post maintenance testing. Run and monitor weekly pipelines. Submit change requests and shepherd the requests successfully through Neustar’s established Change Management Process. Proactively review changes made to the Production environment after ensuring validation has been appropriately carried out. Prepare and deploy support releases, including small feature implementation for new projects. Perform periodic on-call duty as part of a global team.
