SQA Validation Tester San Francisco, CA 6 months project Testers will execute defined test cases against pre-release versions of our clients applications and file well-written defects as required, and validate fixes as delivered. Testers will create needed documentation and interact with internal customers. Testers will work with developers, project teams, DBAs and other QA and Validation staff on a regular basis Requirements: -5 to 7 minimum as a software tester. -Candidate must have a sound understanding of the principles of Computerized System validation in regulated industries (GAMP, Part 11, FDA guidelines and regulations). -A good understanding of GLP, GCP and GxP regulations and experience in the validation of computer system used in clinical and non-clinical trials (e.g., Watson LIMS, NonMem, PKS, Clinical Data Management). -Knowledge and experience with system/database design and architecture, change control, as well as System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Quality Assurance (QA) methodologies is required. -Prior experience in manual testing of complex applications following documented QA methodologies and procedures. -Experience using HP ALM or QC or equivalent. -Experience with HP QTP in constructing automated testing scripts and running them. -Experience assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT). -Good skills at Regression testing and processes. Experience at integration testing with a variety of 3rd party applications. -Experience developing test cases with a view to reuse in regression suites and automated test suites. -Experience constructing and running SQL queries for back end testing. -Experience testing in a multi-browser and multi-platform environment. -Prior experience dealing with data in a Health Science / Clinical setting. -Knowledge and experience with system/database design and architecture. -Good organizational and time-management skills. -Strong communication skills and able to explain things to end users who may not be savvy at software development. -Good written skills are required. -Life sciences environment is a plus.
