Oracle R12 Financials Technical Consultant 6-12 Month contract San Antonio, TX Preferred Qualifications: 1. Experience with Oracle ERP, Multiple E-Business Suite life cycle implementations and/or upgrades, and R12. Position Summary Primary focus is the designing, coding, unit testing, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of data processing applications software. Duties to include, but not limited to, providing on-call after hours support. Leads technical team through mentoring and monitoring performance. Major Responsibilities * Exercise considerable initiative, planning, judgment and ability to work independently. * Coordinate multi-application changes. * Plan, prepare, implement, and monitor application development priorities to ensure quality and on-time delivery. * Use system and technical knowledge to provide recommendations for proposed enhancements or functional changes. * Act as a mentor for the team and provides knowledge and guidance as necessary. * Provide estimates for software projects. * Perform peer code reviews. * Assign work to other technical team members as needed. * Design programming solutions to align with business initiatives. * Develop application program code. * Maintain application program code. * Unit test application program code. * Create technical documentation. * Research, interpret, and build knowledge of applications and program code. Position Qualifications * Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a field of study related to Information Systems practicum. * Minimum six (6) years experience in software development and design. * Possess knowledge of programming constructs (i.e., structured/object programming techniques). * Possess knowledge of relational database constructs. * Ability to interpret business rules and translate them into program logic. * Ability to develop test cases and transactions in order to test program logic. * Possess good to excellent problem solving skills. * Ability to productively interact with co-workers, peers, and customers. * Ability to follow detailed instructions correctly. * Ability to think logically and apply logic to programming solutions. * Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude. * Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. * Ability to completely maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment. * Good listening skills.
