*Position: Network Engineer - Wireless* *Location: Fort Worth, TX* *Duration: 6-12 Months* JD: The Wireless Network Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that industry best practices and methodologies are applied to a network involving Wi-Fi network services on Local & Wide Area Networks for PCI Compliance. Primarily, the engineer will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and management of the Wi-Fi infrastructure for PCI compliance for Rogue Detection, security alerts and building process and procedures for PCI audit, tracking and reporting. Other duties include installation for break/fix as needed, monitoring, support, trending and reporting. This engineer will also analyze and provide recommendations in the resolution of wireless and network problems in a timely and accurate fashion. The Wireless operations engineer should have a working knowledge of the 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi networks and should possess a firm grasp of the technologies and tools listed below. • Cisco Wireless Access Points • Wireless Client Association • Cisco Wireless Controllers • RF transmission • IEEE 802.11 Standards • Wireless Sniffers • Experience with the common MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) • Cisco NCS Prime Wireless Management System • PCI Standards 3.0 The Network Engineer should have a working knowledge of Local & Wide Area Networks and should possess a firm grasp of TCP/IP fundamentals. In addition, the candidate should have a strong grasp with the following: • Cisco IOS – Switching and Routing • SNMP • Syslog and SIEM logging • NetFlow • Routing protocols – BGP, EIGRP, OSPF • Ingrained troubleshooting methodology that can quickly adapt to the AA environment • Ability to draw diagrams using MS Visio • Experience with the common MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) • Additionally, experience with the following equipment types would be a plus: • OpNet Tool suite (SNMP/Netflow based) • HP H3C Switching technologies The candidate should be able to speak and write clearly and have, when called upon, the wherewithal to present technical data in a manner understandable to the particular audience (both technical and nontechnical). Possibly require working nights as needed to remediate rogue and security alerts.
