*Title : Java J2EE Performance Architect* *Duration – 6 months Contract with possible extension.* *Location : Virginia* *Role : J2EE Performance Architect and J2EE Senior Performance Architect* Functions: J2EE Architect Industries: Information Technology and Services J2EE Architect (7-9 years’ experience) and Senior Architects (9+ years’ experience) who will play a lead role in reviewing system architecture/ set-up and solve complex problems for large scale and response time sensitive Enterprise applications. *Key Technical Skills:* Experienced in defining & realizing end-to-end Technical Architecture for large scale real-time enterprise systems. Ability to identify and define non-functional requirements and design systems to meet the same. Strong experience in OOAD and in applying Design patterns effectively. At least 5 years hands-on experience in Java/ JEE technologies like Struts/JSF, Spring, EJB, JMS etc. Experience only on front-end technologies like Struts, JSP, Servlets, HTML will not be sufficient. Experience in performance optimization of J2EE systems on various application and portal servers (Oracle, Websphere, JBoss). Deep expertise in any one of the application/ portal server is a must. Experience in at least one RDBMS (Oracle, MS-SQL, MySQL). Experience in creating and reviewing technical documents like Architecture blueprint, Design specifications, Deployment architecture, Workload modeling etc. Excellent understanding of software development methodologies and architectures. Ability to analyze and solve performance issues in H/w – servers, storage, LAN & WAN. Good understanding of Operating system and troubleshooting OS performance issues. Experience of conducting Scalability test and benchmarks for enterprise applications Experience in either of these areas is a definite add-on - Infrastructure sizing, Capacity planning, Performance modeling, Cloud Computing. *Desired Skills & Experience* Experience in interfacing with the customers. Experience in consulting engagements is a definite plus. Ability to mentor technical specialists and guide them in resolving complex performance and scalability issues encountered in projects. Understanding of latest technologies and tools in the J2EE space and an ability to evaluate, select and propose tools and technologies to meet the requirements.
