(Travel expenses can be reimbursed) Sr.Linux Administrator Location : Oakland, CA C2C/C2H/FullTime Note: Candidate good with Linux and Good Knowledge or little handon exp on Vmware along with Basics of storage, infra components, middleware components will be a great fit. *Job Description.* 1. Total 10+ Years and relevant experience 8 Years. 2. Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience 3. Design, implementation and administration of highly available and redundant Linux infrastructure 4. Knowledge on o/s satellite mgmt, authentication (qmx), apache, tomcat. splunk agent deployment, report creation, distributed splunk deployment. puppet package deployment , automation - vm deployment 5. Performing routine audits of systems and software 6. Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes 7. Installing and configuring new hardware and software 8. Responsibility for security 9. Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system 10. Troubleshooting any reported problems 11. System performance tuning 12. Experience in design and deployment experience with HA and redundant systems 13. Strong knowledge and experience in file systems (UFS, NFS, Disk partitioning, file system tuning, auto mounts, NIS, DNS) 14. Strong knowledge and experience in OS Hardening, Performance Tuning, Kernel Customization 15. Able to write Shell and Perl scripts 16.
