Explain application architecture decisions and rationales to the business and technical teams. *Deliverables:* · Design, document, and ensure implementation of Java, JEE, mobile technology solutions and distributed systems. Work with application teams from design to delivery, technical leadership, architectural direction, and hands-on implementation assistance. · Architect the development environment and frameworks to ensure a standard environment for application development to include the selection and optimization of the associated development frameworks using emerging best technology solutions. · Guidance to tune production environments to ensure optimal stability and performance of the environment and its key components. *Requirements:* · Must have deep technical domain expertise in the applications and infrastructure including database, web architecture design, integration, and implementation experience. · Must be a strong analytical thinker with a proven track record of complex technical problem solving and trouble shooting and resolving intricate and detailed issues. · Must be able to balance complex and often conflicting demands in terms of cost, stability, performance, and scalability of technical environments. Must also possess strong technical leadership skills and be able to influence the team(s). *Preferred:* · Prefer fifteen years’ experience in information systems applications with five years of related working as a senior technology architect in a large IT organization with a formal approach to IT architecture. · Prefer leadership experience to include evaluation and selection of technology and the integration into a strategic architectural framework. Experience working with Agile Methodologies, such as Extreme Programming (XP) and Scrum is desirable. · Ability to architect the environment(s) on the distributed systems servers to ensure optimal performance, stability, security, and scalability.
