*Duties and Responsibilities:*

• Create, maintain, and support the Teradata architectural environment for
BIAAS project.
• Manage physical database design
• Manage production objects in change control environment
• Develop proactive processes for monitoring capacity and performance
• Perform system level and application level tuning
• Support the application development teams for database needs and guidance
• Perform backup and recovery operations
• Support production and DR processes
• Support end-user queries
• Administer database security
• Provide on-call support
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this job

*Minimum Qualifications:*

• 7+ years experiences as a Teradata Database Administrator handling 25+ TB
data environment (3+ years as Senior/Principle DBA)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or related
technical disciplines
• Recommended Certifications: Teradata Advanced Certified Professional
Teradata Certified Administrator Teradata Master


*Requirements and General Skills:*

• Very strong in database design, tuning, and trouble shooting
• Solid in the transition of the logical data models to physical data
models using Er-Win or equivalent data modeling tools
• Excellent knowledge of Teradata utilities like FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT,
Datamoveretc
• Excellent knowledge of Resusage , DBQL and PDCR tables.
• Good understanding of TASM workload management and DBS control parameters.
• Must have worked on at least one major Teradata upgrade project.
• Detailed knowledge of Teradata new features like Temporal, Columnar
tables and block level compression(BLC).
• Experiences in backup and restore (BAR) design and implementation
• Very familiar with Unix Scripting languages
• Very familiar with Viewpoint
• Experience in Disaster Recovery exercises
• Experience with Marketing Databases
• Experience with Encryption techniques and managing PII (Personally
Identifiable Information)
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable when dealing with change
• Ability to allocate time efficiently, handling multiple demands and
competing priorities
• Standard work environment
