*Send me updated resumes to [email protected] <[email protected]> or you can reach me on 214-257-8266.* *Role: *Sr. SQL DBA (2) & SQL DBA (1) *Location: *Miami, FL *Duration: *1+ year contract *Rate: **$50/hr. for Senior, $45/hr. for Mid-level (C2C)* *Interview: **1 phone + 1 Skype for non-local candidates* They are looking for someone with that DBA experience but has some exposure to Data Architecture, and someone who needs has extensive experience working with *SSIS and T-SQL.* Big pluses for this position include: *SSRS, SSAS, and AWS / Amazon Redshift – again, these are just pluses.* *Position Requirements:* • Has 8+ years of experience in database development and support in MS SQL Server environments. • Install and configure new MS-SQL Servers • Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business’s Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) • Test backups to ensure we can meet the business’ Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) • Strong experience in Database Administration in SQL Server ( 2005 and 2008 ) • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc. • Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools. • Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention. • Troubleshoot MS-SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends • Configure MS-SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms • Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Clustering, Database mirroring, Replication. • Expert experience in implementing operational automation. • Strong knowledge of how indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching.
