*Designs and builds relational databases. Develops strategies for data
acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database. Cleans and
maintains the database by removing and deleting old data. May require a
bachelor's degree in a related area. 8-10+ years of experience. Demonstrates
expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects
and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. A wide degree
of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or
head of a unit/department.*

*Position Summary Application Architect Advisor to support solution
architecture activities for an enterprise program with the Federal Employee
Program (FEP) Roles and Responsibilities • Designs and defines reference
architectures and components • Develops architecture specifications to build
or support the development of IT architecture • Resolves IT architecture
problems through identification, assessment and resolution, and changes and
upgrades to be made • Maintains knowledge of architecture components and
recognizes when modifications must be made • Maintains and suggests new
architecture standards • Performs quality assurance reviews • Provides
guidance and review of architecture related concerns • Performs technology
portfolio analysis to identify redundancy and gaps, and recommends changes
to maintain an efficient portfolio • Performs strategy analysis and provides
recommendations to close the gap between current and future state technology
Qualifications (knowledge / skills / behaviors) Knowledge / Skills •
Solution Architecture skills • Good communication skills , facilitation
skills and negotiation skills to drive decision making • SOA and J2EE
background is a must. .NET is a plus • Able to manage their time effectively

oriented • Ability to solve problems and resolve issues in an expedient
manner • Sense of ownership and accountability Experience • Minimum of 8
years of experience in architecture/design in relevant technology

working in an environment with a wide variety of technology (e.g: Mainframe,
J2EE, .NET, DB2, Oracle) • Additional plus would be o Health Insurance
Industry knowledge o a prior experience with customer service center
