** Send resumes to [email protected] Description : Participate in the selection and certification of next generation hardware for stores Write and enhance Chef Cookbooks to support engineering hardware/OS builds Participate on projects using the Agile SDLC methodology Create, manage and execute strategic and tactical operational plans for new POS hardware deployment projects impacting stores in North America through pilot phase Create vendor documentation for equipment staging, installation and support tools. Partner with manager to identify ongoing support processes for projects post pilot phase. Participate in planning sessions for future IT initiatives and projects impacting stores. Partner with project groups to assist in engineering technical solutions for business needs Qualifications: • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. • Excellent organizational skills. • Strong problem solving skills • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities simultaneously in a mature Agile environment • Linux OS • 1 to 2 + years Chef • Skilled with installation and troubleshooting of Linux applications and operating systems • Ruby and Ant – Nice to haves • Wired and wireless network experience • Wireless device management experience using Avalanche and Airwatch • Jira to record stories • Experience with retail IT systems a + Soft skills – would like a person who can self-manage, who is a self-starter and is not afraid to try new things. Want a person with initiative, and who does what it takes to get something done. Team is agile mature and works in quick, 2 week sprints. They will be joining a team of 4 FTE and 3 contractors.
