Job Title: Java Software Engineer Network Management Location: Petaluma, California Duration: 6 – 9 months
Skills highlighted in red and blue are must. Overview: We are looking for an energetic Mid-level Java software engineer in the network management group. You will work alongside a top-notch engineering team and get exposure to a world-class telecommunication platform in a fast-paced, exciting environment. Responsibilities: • Design and implement large-scale enterprise software applications for managing Telecommunications and Data-communications products and devices • Apply latest Object-Oriented methodologies, Java, J2EE, XML technologies, and DBMSs • Architect, develop, maintain and integrate various enterprise server modules • Work through all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with product marketing, engineering, and testing teams • Write and maintain software functional specifications, design and integration documents • Fix daily defects and support issues arising from customer sites Qualifications: Most importantly, you are a make-it-happen person that is eager to learn complex systems and communicate crisply. Requirements: • 5+ years experience of Strong Object-Oriented Design and Methodologies • 5+ years Java 2 or 2+ years of Java 2 combined with 5+ years of C++ • 3+ years J2EE technologies including JSP, Servlets, JMS, XML, JDBC • 3+ years experience of RDBMS (preferable Oracle) and Object- Relational Mapping • Solid analytical, design, debugging and integration skills • Proficient in Client/Server programming in a multi-thread/multi- process environment • Crisp communication is necessary • Multitasking skills is key • BSCS (or equivalent) required, MSCS preferred • Team player with a good attitude Desired: • Telecom background (Access/Transport) • Network Management/FCAPS • Experience with Enterprise application clustering • Hands-on experience with AppServers: JBoss/WebLogic/WebSphere. • Experience with various security protocols/architecture (SSL, PKI, JAAS and etc) • In-depth understanding/experience with Design Patterns. • TL1, SNMP • User Interface Design (SWING) The best way to reach me is email.
