3 Months Contract Sounds like phone hire ok WebSphere Application Service requires two WAS administrators to meet customer needs for project work, service and support. WebSphere team of two has one FTE on extended leave of absence. WebSphere Application Service hosts number of critical service applications for HJIP, HSPHD, and General Gov’t. Ability to respond to service requests and or issues are constrained with without augmented support by second WebSphere Administrator. _________________________________________________________________________ *Description of Work to Be Performed and the Specific Skill Sets Needed:* Consultant will be knowledgeable in WebSphere Application Services administration, multiple version environment service and support hosted on both Windows and Linux. Consultant must be capable of deploying and installing applications, configuring, and executing all project tasks that require WebSphere Application Services. Under direction, will perform work of considerable difficulty as a specialist engaged in WebSphere\Web Service offerings at Hennepin County. *Demonstrated skills as individual and/or part of team:* • Plan, apply, & validate upgrades of vendor software minimizing service interruption. • Deployment of applications following established procedures & processes. • Consult with application developers/team leads supporting deployment & planning applications across multiple environments. • Solve the problems and reported issues Web Services & WebSphere. • Participate in assignments that require technical & systems knowledge, and function as member of team contributing to service provision. Consultant familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) concepts and practices desirable having worked with enterprise ticketing system for work and or issue resolutions with defined Service Level Agreements (SLA) & Operational Level Agreements. _____________________________________________________________________ *List of Deliverables:* WebSphere Application Services service & support administration Work task completion documentation as part of time reporting Process improvement recommendations based on observations Work may involve some weekend time based on customer deployment needs Impact/Outcome from a Business Perspective: Uninterrupted WebSphere services supporting LOB customer applications and strategic projects.
