*Position: Business Analyst* *Location: Houston, TX* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Job Description:* - Project: Scheduling Inventory Data Integration FEL - Project Purpose: To determine and gain approval for business, functional and non-functional requirements associated with delivery of Commercial destination inventory scheduling product. Business Analyst Deliverables: Inventoried and Prioritized Functional and Non-Functional Requirements (i.e. business rules, transactional, security and interface functions, referential and historical data integrity, etc.), As-Is and To-Be Conceptual Data Flow Diagrams, As-Is and To-Be Process Text Diagrams, High-Level Use Cases, Data Dictionary and Glossary, Refinement of Business Case (scope, objectives and deliverables). Business Analyst Expectations: Conduct interviews, document analysis, reverse engineering and observation elicitation activities for requirements gathering. Document and gain stakeholder approval for functional and non-functional requirements for POC and final product. Perform and coordinate testing of proof of concept product. Assist solution integrator with solution design and integration of requirements into products. *Skills: Business process modeling, Use case development, Requirements elicitation, Microsoft Office, Visual basic for applications, SQL queries.* *Minimum qualifications:* - Candidate should have 4-8 years of experience gathering and developing functional and non-functional business requirements, performing content analysis and recognizing patterns and advanced Excel skills. - Candidate should possess strong fact-finding and analytical skills and be able to understand database structure and data sources. - Preferred Experience and Skills: Experience with refined products scheduling and midstream processes.
