*Title: Unix Systems Administration* *Location:* Portland, OR (local preferred but relo’s are ok) *Duration:* 1 year *Skills:* Senior systems administration within a CAD/EDM IT Operations Support Team for UNIX and window environments. Reporting daily to the Delivery Manager with technical and operation issues. 50% Client, Server, network & senior-level administration responsibilities, including scripting, planning, policy & process development, and problem tracking. Installations, upgrades, setup, configurations and testing of software version releases against many installations of Smaragd in Development, Training, Test, and Production Environments. 50% Operational support, system monitoring including L1 help desk rotation, user ID administration, moves, add¡¦s and other changes. Develop tools to help automate SysAdmin tasks such as software deployment, system monitoring, routine maintenance Write technical documentation for systems as necessary Participate in 24x5 pager rotation for environment issues Local contact to a global support team Support Help Desk staff with escalated support issues Regular, predictable attendance Other duties as assigned. Knowledge of Teamcenter or other PLM Software Knowledge of CATIA V5 or other CAD software At least 5 years of developing/supporting Windows IT infrastructure environments At least 7 years of developing /supporting Unix infrastructure environments Prior administration of CAD / PDM systems in a multi-site environment. Experience with Help Desk support and tools Networking knowledge DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP stack B.S. Computer Science or related field.
