*Job Title: Exchange Engineer - Senior* *Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ* *Type of hire: 6+ months Contract* *Interview Mode: Telephonic and Skype* Description: Role and Responsibilities This position is for a Sr Exchange Engineer with 7-10 years’ experience working with Exchange to manage/support ~3,000 mailboxes/clients. The candidate will work as part of the AXIS Global Infrastructure team under the direction of the AD & Messaging Tower Lead. This position will work with AXIS internal business partners, IT organization, and multiple outsourcing providers to effectively deliver infrastructure services and operational assurances in the Messaging functional area through the planning and management of: o Daily environmental health checks o Directing, tracking and oversight of day-to-day operations o Oversight of escalations related to incident management and service requests o Technical guidance and support of any major business impacting incidents o Problem management and root cause analysis o Planning & execution of change management activities o Adherence to AXIS policies, procedures, and technical standards o Support audit activities when required o Evaluate and report on the performance of the Active Directory functional area o Provide support for project activities as required o Performs other duties as assigned o Works under supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. o Work outside of regular hours may be required Strong working knowledge of Exchange 2010 o Design/building/implementing o Management o Upgrades/Patching o Strong working knowledge of Powershell o Recommendations for system improvements/automation/optimization o Server Health o Transport routing o DAG knowledge o Tracing o Strong working knowledge of Public Folders ?
