Local consultants who can appear for In-person Interview. LOCATION: MILWAUKEE, WI TITLE: Project Manager Period: 11/23/2009 to 02/26/2010 RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL: · Independently or through team leadership plan, develop, design, implement and manage system projects. · Responsibility is wide in scope and application. · Specific projects could include but are not limited to: development, implementation and/or coordination of a project management system, budget development and monitoring, contract administration, long range planning, training, and communications projects, facilities planning etc. · Function as a contact and liaison for the division on any of the above projects. Work is performed without appreciable direction. · Assume a leadership role on critical projects. · Provide technical counsel and assistance to less experienced employees. · May supervise one or more employees. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: • Perform initial systems investigations, project initiations, project definitions and project planning. • Manage projects and lead ad hoc project teams to determine solutions to complex business problems that involve major functions of the business. • Perform feasibility studies to analyze cost/benefit trade-offs of system solutions. • Evaluate and recommend cost effective and efficient software solutions. Develop project cost and benefit estimates. Recommend plans and alternatives to IT and BU management. • Provides functional and technical expertise and guidance on project assignments to project team members including design, testing and implementation. • Develop schedules, conversion and test plans for all aspects of system development. • Consult with I/T and business unit customers on business needs. REQUIREMENTS: • Extensive business and I/T technical knowledge acquired by a Bachelor’s degree in CS, MIS or related field and 3-5 years related systems design and I/T project management work experience. • Technically competent in all phases of I/T systems design and development. • Must be able to plan, complete and manage multiple projects either independently or through teams while under project deadline constraints. • Demonstrated knowledge of database design concepts, online processing and common current industry standard computer information processing techniques. • Broad business understanding of how Information Technology supports the overall business goals. • Excellent analytical & problem solving skills • *Project management experience with projects of at least $500,000 and project teams of 10 or more people.* • Customer service and I/T consulting skills. SKILLS AND CREDENTIALS: 1. Good oral and written communications with all levels – with proven ability in influencing, negotiating, giving formal project presentations and reports. 2. Team Leadership skills. 3.
