*Role: Teradata DBA*
*Location: Lake Forest, IL*
*Duration: 3-6 month Contract*
*Position Details:*
• Maintain the Teradata space, users, purge jobs, and alerts
associated with the Teradata environment
• Administer key aspects of the platform underlying operating
system; including managing users, scheduled user processes etc.
• Organize an appropriate security structure to manage users,
roles & access rights
• Administer the operational aspects of the backup processes to
ensure that jobs finish as per SLA. Work with the customer to optimize the
backup strategy
• Keeps the system optimally performing using Teradata’s
performance best practices. Provide the visibility about system capacity
and performance
• Support in promoting release of database data structures, access
rights, maintenance processes, and procedures
• Oversight and Engagement Governance.
