Good Afternoon, * * * I have a new requirement for a Java Programmer Lead at United Airlines in Elk Grove, Illinois. Communication skills will play a key role in the hiring decision.* * * *Title: Java Development Lead* *Location: Elk Grove, Illinois* *Duration: 6 month minimum with a strong possibility of extension* *CANDIDATES MUST HAVE STRONG COMMUNICATION SKILLS.* *PROGRAMMER LEAD – 5+ yrs exp MINIMUM!!* Under limited supervision, Programmer Lead is viewed as a leader in Application Software development and engineering. Undertakes intermediate to moderate projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. Makes well-thought-out decisions on intermediate to moderate or ambiguous software development and engineering issues. Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements complex systems, components, software tools, and utilities. Makes intermediate to moderate modifications to existing software to fit specialized needs and configurations. Provides technical solutions that takes into account project schedules and costs. Under guidance and supervision integrates business-level processes and data within an enterprise and between organizations by designing and developing applications, to better support business processes, reduce cycle times (or latencies), costs, and increase agility to respond quickly to new business opportunities. Analyzes, documents, and understands the IT development architecture, business processes and data that exist within the enterprise - Sound knowledge of object oriented design and development - Sound knowledge of Java SE programming and language fundamentals (Certifications would be an added advantage) - Sound knowledge of Java EE technologies and frameworks such as JSP, Servlets, EJB, Hibernate, Struts, Spring, XML, XML schema, JDBC,J2EE, SOAP,WSDL - Proven practical experience with application servers, mainly Weblogic, JBoss including deployment, functioning and administration (BEA Aqualogic skill would be an added advantage) - Experience with end-to-end design and development of large scale, multi-tier, highly available ecommerce systems (Unix/Solaris) - Identifies design alternatives for intermediate to moderate, mid-scale solutions - Knowledge of integration with mainframe systems particularly with integration technologies like MQ and TIBCO - Knowledge on technology concepts and tools for caching and clustering - Experience in performance tuning applications and troubleshooting issues related to performance - Excellent communication skills Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
