** Client is looking for* Project Manager - Long Island, NY*. This is a long term *Contract position. The hourly rate is DOE. Local candidates only.* * * *Position Description/Responsibilities:* 1. Develop project plans 2. Execute projects according to defined plans 3. Provide product expertise (data entry validation, quality assurance, system administration, etc.) 4. Act as liaison between project team(s), management, and vendors 5. Assign resources to project task assignments 6. Troubleshoot/problem solve project issues as they arise 7. Responsible for project scope management (initiation, scope planning/definition/verification/ change control) 8. Responsible for project cost management (resource planning, cost estimating/budgeting/control) 9. Responsible for project quality management (quality planning, assurance, and control) 10. Responsible for project human resource management (organizational planning, staff identification, and team development) 11. Responsible for project communication management (communications planning, information distribution, performance reporting, and administrative closure) 12. Responsible for project risk management (risk management planning/identification, qualitative/quantitative risk analysis, risk response planning, risk monitoring and control) 13. Develop and pursue relationships and leads with the goal of increasing revenue * * * * *Position Requirements/Technical Skills:* *Mandatory Requirements* - *A minimum of 5 years experience in IT Project management in a large scale project. * - Ability to develop complex project plans. - Ability to manage multiple project simultaneously. - *Ability to manage a team of 10 or more IT professionals of varying expertise including programmers, analysts and application support. * - Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Project and View. - Experience in the migration of legacy applications to web based applications is mandatory. - The applicant must have a minimum of 5 years experience in Project Management for a large application.
