The engineer must be comfortable with Linux administration, network configuration, configuration management, scripting languages, JVM performance, deployment automation, cloud APIs, and monitoring solutions. Additionally, we need an engineer with the broad experience to be able to debug complex systems spanning from the application level to the network and OS level, and who is capable of providing pragmatic solutions as opposed to simply following instructions.
