What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? (Please be
detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily
basis)

- Collaborate with business and IT colleagues and lead design and
development of large, complex commercial application to achieve business
objectives consistent with functional and technical specifications and
business requirements.

- Lead, mentor, supervise, and provide work direction to software
development teams.

- Provide business solutions by creating and developing new software
applications.

- Lead designing, coding, testing, and documenting software applications
consistent with functional and technical specifications and business
requirements that deliver business value.

- Apply standards and best practices for designing and developing software
applications.

- Advocate and develop innovative approaches and solutions.

- Provide expert technical expertise.



What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily
responsibilities?

- Java and web-based technologies.

- Service-oriented architecture technologies.

- Relational database experience (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, etc.)



What skills/attributes are a must have?



- Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent
experience.

- 8+ years of application design and development experience.

- 6+ years of hands on experience with Java/J2EE and web-based technology
solutions.

- 4+ years of experience with service-oriented architecture technologies.

- 4+ years of relational database experience (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, etc.)



- 2+ years of experience leading, mentoring, supervising, and providing
work direction to software development teams.

- Solid understanding of the system

development life cycle and the artifacts produced throughout the life
cycle.

- Proven success using and driving a repeatable, iterative software
development methodology (e.g., Agile).

- Track record of completing software development projects on-time and
on-budget and that delight the customer.

- Demonstrated ability to communicate with, and influence, business and
technology leadership.

- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and mentor software development
teams.

- Demonstrated ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams
(e.g., business/systems analysts, quality assurance testers,
program/project managers, infrastructure services, architects, UX/UI
designers, etc.).

- Demonstrated experience implementing software engineering best practices.

- Customer- and solution-focused.

- Solid Microsoft Office skills.

- Superior written and verbal communication skills.

- Familiarity with integrated platform as a service (iPaaS) technologies
(e.g., Mule ESB) is strongly preferred.

- Experience with Salesforce development platform strongly preferred.



What skills/attributes are nice to have?



- Experience or familiarity with technologies such as WSDL, REST and/or
SOAP web services, XML, JBoss, Adobe CQ5 DAM, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap,
AngularJS, Hibernate, Spring, and authorization/authentication strategies
and solutions.



- Experience with rules engine software (e.g., IBM ODM, Oracle OPA, or
Drools).

- Understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) architectures and related
business processes.

- Experience working with offshore and remote resources.

- Demonstrated ability to build and cultivate effective working
relationships across a large, cross-functional organization.

- Knowledge of, or experience in, the human services and/or health care
industries.



What are the work hours? (ex. 9am-5pm, day/night shifts, rotating shifts,
etc.) Generally 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., but can be flexible, provided in
attendance during core hours of 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
