*I am looking for a Java Developer for a contract role. Please reach out to me as soon as possible if you have anyone available. I need a middleware Java Developer. They must have strong Java, Websphere, and MQ skills in E-Commerce development teams. This is starting off as a three month project but could go six to 12 months as the client has plenty of work available. Richmond, VA and we be on their E-Commerce Team. This client requires a phone screen followed by an onsite interview in Richmond so the candidates must be available for a face to face. Communication skills are very important in this role. I am looking for a rate between 35-40/hr for us to be competitive.* This requirement is really looking for strong middleware development. They don't want to see front-end java developers. * *The ideal candidate will have some sort of Order Management System experience and prior integration experience with SMS (shop mgt systems). These contracts will be open-ended to an extent because they have a number of projects in queue. The contracts will be at least 3 months. However, the expectation is more like 6-12 months. The "required skills" listed below are expected to be visible on the candidate's resume. *QUALIFICATIONS: * *· *7-10 years programming and systems analysis experience *· *Demonstrated expert knowledge of life cycle through application of complex, mutli disciplinary software applications, involving complicated technology and integration points *· *Good interpersonal skills and communication skills; communicate to both users and technical peers *· *Ability to work as lead software developer with minimal supervision *· *Bachelor's degree in Computer Science related field preferred. ** *· *Experience in design, code, and support of critical enterprise-level systems** *· *Experience in supporting large-scale web applications** *· **Required technical skills*: *Java 5 or higher, JEE 5, EJB 3, SQL/Databases, Linux/Unix, Eclipse or Eclipse-based IDE* *· **Preferred technical skills*: *Java 6, Jboss 4 or higher, JMS, MQSeries (WebsphereMQ 7), Hibernate or Java Persistence API (JPA), JAX-WS web services, JAXB XML binding, Ant, web security experience such as WS-Security* *JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:* * * · Works under minimal supervision. · Develops complex and/or high risk applications. · Designs and develops complex and high risk application interfaces. · Researches and evaluates business systems of a more complex nature. *· *Assesses the business and organizational implications of key technologies and recommends appropriate action. *· *Guides the development team in overall application technology design activities. *· *Leads the identification and definition of key architectures, components and interfaces, and data model design. *· *Conducts code reviews *· *Oversees the development of technical design alternatives and their implications. · Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about programs. · Balance multiple priorities, multi-tasking as necessary. Adapt well to changes. · Teamwork - Promotes, maintains and encourages a close working relationship and a team effort with all members of the IT Department and user departments involved in the work assignments. · Provides support and problem resolution for moderate to complex eCommerce application.
