This Sr. Java Developer will be working in an Agile environment with business users and the integration team (which includes 15 total people). Candidate will be responsible for creating the integrations between the existing ProSAM (ProSAM is a Windows GUI presentation layer that shares full financial aid functionality) student system to the new student system, Banner. Requirements are in place but not 100% and may change throughout the project. Candidate will be responsible for meeting with the business users to gather requirements. Must Haves: - Prior experience with Integrations Development - Java development experience (Java 1.4 / 1.5) - Web service development experience using Axis2 ( Web services are externally accessed-security is a concern with WS and basic auth ) - Java Messaging development experience (JMS compliant messages are subbed to an ESB) - PL/SQL, Stored Procedure and Function development experience - XML experience. - Oracle Database experience. - Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.4 experience - Spring and Spring Batch development experience required. - Eclipse IDE experience. - Experience writing UML design patterns. - Experience working in an Agile environment Nice to Haves: - Enterprise Service Bus development experience (Desired). - Oracle BPEL/ESB experience (desired). - SalesForce.com development experience (desired). Soft Skills: - Must have good communication. - Self-starter, ability to take ownership of issues and follow through to completion. - Ability to work with business users to refine requirements. - Experience with complete software development lifecycle, requirements, design, development, testing, deployment.
