The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for identifying stakeholders, scope, analysis, creating requirements documentation and working to bridge the gap between the business and IT to make sure the requirements are understood by all parties. We need someone who is able to build relationships and trust quickly with stakeholders. This person will also need to display a high level of integrity and assertiveness, while still knowing how to make work fun. This is a great opportunity to be in a high impact role with growth potential into a highlevel individual contributor role, or people leader role down the road. *Job Summary* Fully qualified analyst who supports both the systems and the processes within a project, acting in a liaison role between the business and IT. Leads small to moderate size projects by drafting requirements, performing updates, and potentially designing and executing test cases. *Job Duties and Responsibilities* ?? Reviews, analyzes & evaluates complex business systems, processes and user needs. ?? Analyzes and initiates business process improvements across wide range of processes, systems and business areas; sets direction and policy within span of control. ?? Resolves highly complex issues escalated by the business team using simple, nontechnical language. Can also consult with IT Personnel in a more technical manner and other business areas (i.e. Legal and Compliance) to help with resolutions. ?? Manage and successfully deliver moderately complex projects. At times may provide and lead the direction of others. ?? Defines scope, objectives and requirements on moderately complex projects. Assists in defining and designing system requirements and recommends solutions to moderately complex business needs. ?? Assists in defining, developing, and providing information and analysis to drive and support decisionmaking for moderately complex processes and business operations for internal and external customers. *Decision Making/Impact* ?? Deciding how best to lead and accomplish systems projects within the department (who needs to be involved, timeframe for projects, etc.). The timeframe will generally be short, and the organizational impact of these decisions will be minor to moderate. ?? Developing recommendations and providing information / reports for moderately complex system improvements to solve business problems and meet needs. Determining which of the possible solutions is most appropriate for the situation (accounting for various factors). Decides the best resolution of highly complex process and procedural issues escalated by members, field, and home office staff. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred. ?? 4-6+years of experience in the business system analyst field or related area. ?? Experience with Brokerage, Mutual Fund, and/or Annuity products ?? Moderate levels of analysis and independence. ?? Solid working knowledge of systems design process and methodology as well as knowledge / use of systems tools including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and other applications /software as required. ?? Familiarity with testing tools preferred.
