.Net Developer 12 Month Project
Location: Bloomington, MN This position is responsible for supporting and maintaining custom built enterprise back office applications concerning contract maintenance, invoicing, accounting and settlement software processes. These applications manage risks in excess of $120B with $32B in premium invoiced annually. These applications are used by 2000+ colleagues worldwide. This position requires a customer first service mentality with high quality standards. While the role does require proficient knowledge in .NET, Win forms, and T-SQL, the day to day challenge comes from understanding the business domain and the reinsurance invoicing and settlement process. Developers with a history and enthusiasm for performing in a service role usually do well in this position. Some additional consideration for this position. 1) Candidate must be okay with a support / maintenance role for 6 – 12 months. After that, if person is good there will be other opportunities. It’s not worth our time to interview someone who isn’t okay with this. a. After a year, the person in this role is transitioning from the maintenance / support role to work on Development projects to add new functionality to our existing apps. 2) Candidate will be supporting back office Win Forms applications. Someone who is primarily a web developer may not like this role. Please make sure they understand that before we interview. 3) We understand Win Forms is a little outdated thus we would very much welcome WPF knowledge.
