Seattle, WA is looking for SDET for long term contract **position.*
*We are looking for a SDET who also has an interest in functional testing
and development*
*Summary:*
*As an SDET, you would work with Software engineers as well as other test
automation engineers to design, develop and maintain automation frameworks
for effective and efficient test execution. Using Agile methodologies for
various types application mixes including Web, Service Oriented, Mobile,
Java, Json & Open Source, etc. You will be responsible to develop new
automation scripts and modifying existing automation scripts written in
Java or possibly .Net/C#, and other in-house automation
frameworks. Experience with T-SQL is also a must. You will also look to
incorporate your automation into code delivery pipelines (CI/CD) and
engineer-reporting tools that help your team stay on top of code quality.
You will also work with clients, analysts, programmers and team members to
solve complex investment business problems.*
*Overall Responsibilities*
- *Design, development and implement automated tests*
- *Write and execute ATDD (Acceptance Test Driven Development),
Selenium, and Java/Cucumber or .net /Specflow*
- *Be able to manage test data and utilize test data management tech*
- *Experience with T-SQL as well as being able to guide the team to
ensure good test data management techniques and patterns are used as they
pertain to automated testing*
- *Execute manual functional tests when needed as well as take on other
tasks that help the team*
- *Deliver solutions in accordance with enterprise standards and within
development and operational guardrails*
- *Mentor and direct other testers in automation principles*
- *Debug software and perform reviews of automation and application code*
- *Engineer solutions that collect and report test results through
various metrics reporting tools*
- *Develop in-depth system and product knowledge*
- *Constantly evaluate the test automation strategy and approach to
identify areas of improvement (i.e. test automation frameworks, dynamic
data collection methodologies, coding standards, components and object
repository methods, etc.)*
- *Partner with product owners and developers to identify areas for
improved efficiencies*
- *Share and communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to staff,
business sponsors, managers, and technical resources in clear concise
language that is appropriate to the target audience*
- *Participate in communities of practice to share knowledge, learn, and
innovate*
- *Research and implement tools that support delivery*
*Basic Qualifications: *
- *Bachelor’s degree or Military experience*
- *4 + years of experience developing test automation or combination of
development and test experience*
- *At least 2 years of experience with Agile methodologies and Test
Driven Development and continuous integration processes*
*Preferred Qualifications:*
- *3 years of experience testing software*
- *4 years developing test automation*
- *Working experience with technologies such as Java/Cucumber, T-SQL,
and with applications developed in various client side scripting
technologies such as Angular, AJAX, JavaScript, JQuery etc.*
- *Exposure to C#/Specflow a definite plus*
- *Proficient with developer tools, such as Eclipse and git/github
for developing on the Java stack*
- *Experience with HP Quality Center for tracking test cases and
defects*
- *Experience automating build processes, application deployments*
- *Experience with Acceptance Test Driven development*
- *Strong collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills*
