Location : NYC, NY Duration : Long Term Experience/Skills Requirements: a.. 3-6 years of application development experience with strong technical skills in the following areas: C++ and/or Java programming (assuming experience with C) a.. Knowledge of Secdb preferred b.. Relational database and SQL c.. Unix including shell scripting d.. Experience and knowledge in the financial industry including repo trading & sales or funding preferred but not required. Responsibilities a.. Looking for a high performing consultant in the Repo technology group who will: Develop, support and enhance distributed applications (multi-tier, with C, C++, Java and RDBMS technologies) that are needed for the Repo Trading flows and funding processes. b.. Take responsibility for development, testing, and migration of longer term, global development projects as well as ongoing enhancements and support/maintenance of the production environment. c.. Commitment to developing in a test-driven environment - entails building automated unit tests & system tests to run successfully in a development, QA, & staging environment with bi-weekly production installs. d.. Interact with business users - primarily Short Term Interest Rate Desk, Funding Desk and Funding Operations. e.. Server side and/or GUI development available Position Description As a member of the global Repo/Funding technology team, you will gain knowledge of fixed income, equities, and loans instruments.
