*Role : S**QL ETL Developer* *Location : Charlotte, NC* *Duration : 7 months with possible extensions* *Interview : Phone and F2F/WebEx * NOTE: Open to USC, GC and EAD-GC only *Job Description:* This is a hands-on technical position for a Senior SQL Server Data Warehousing Solution Specialist. The candidate needs to be able to work independently and with team and should have extensive experience in the following areas: · *Microsoft SQL Server SSIS (ETL/ELT*), including extensive knowledge in tuning, optimization, and reverse-engineering of existing SQL Server solutions. · Ability to check, evaluate, and recommend database settings to improve existing *Enterprise SQL Server data warehousing solutions* · Experience in data ingestion from file-based or database-driven sources for very large data sets · Experience in database modeling and physical designs for SQL Server databases including partitioning techniques, locking mechanism, and Enterprise usage of data assets with hundreds of concurrent users and multiple concurrent feeds. · Experience in Enterprise scheduling tools such as *Tidal or Control-M* · Experience in *C#* is needed. · ETL best practices, methodologies, and techniques · Experience in *Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC*) and code migration between environments. · Experience or at least familiarity with Change Data Capture software such as IBM Data Mirror · Experience in Agile methodology is desired · Excellent written and oral communications skills with ability to take initiative, and work effectively with other developers, QA analysts, Scrum Master, DBAs, Data Architects, and Solution Architects on technical issues, and to align the ETL design to the business case and the overall solution · Ability to follow and suggest changes to current and emerging ETL Best Practices. · Ability to prepares documentation required for production deployment such as run books and release manuals · Provides accurate level of effort estimates for technical tasks to Scrum Master and technical manager.
