Qualifications (provide description of required skills and experience): - Perform systems analyst tasks for the Pacbase Modernization process. - Candidate needs to answer 80% of the screening questions correctly. - Candidate can be either part time or full time. - Candidate is not required to have a green card. - Desired skills and experience include: - 5+ years MVS JCL - 5+ years DB/2 - 5+ years VSAM - 5+ years batch Pacbase (Active Experience in Development / Support) - Experience with analyzing Pacbase applications and creating “as is” documentation o Inputs/Outputs o Business rules o Data Flows • Primary Skill Required: Mainframe (Pacbase, DB/2, JCL, VSAM) • Second Skill Required: Microsoft Visio and related Office tools • Third Skill Required: Knowledge of JIRA & Confluence II. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES/DELIVERABLES A. Services Description: Ability to analyze existing Pacbase applications to produce deliverables that can be used by other developers to convert to supported technology. B. Deliverables Description (if applicable): Deliverables include “as is” system designs that include how data flows into and out of Pacbase applications. ADDITIONAL NOTES: This resource will be evaluating "legacy" ETL code that may or may not have embedded business rule in them. They need to be able to decipher the sources, the targets and the "logic" behind it. To understand if this is a process that needs to be recreated in the "new" environment, or if they can get rid of it all together. This resource will need to be strong with batch PacBase as well as Mainframe (MVS/JCL, DB2, VSAM) In the interview Kevin will be looking at Communication skills/team fit as well as how strong they are in this realm. Kevin would like to get this person started ASAP. Team size of Kevin Conaways' group is 15 people, but this resource will only be working with a small portion of that team.
