*Position: Linux Engineer/Admin* *Duration: 6+ months* *Location: Chicago, IL* *Interview: Phone then Face to Face* *Requirements:* • Ability to perform intermediate-level support activities on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x and 6.x. • Ability to work nights and weekends, as needed - On-call rotation for support • Detail-oriented execution of tasks, including following technical directions • Proactive communication of issues to peers and leadership * Qualifications :* • 5+ years experience as a Linux Engineer • Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems discipline (or equivalent work experience). • Able to successfully contribute in cross-functional teams containing a mixture of technical and non-technical peers. • Broad knowledge of Unix/Linux Systems technologies and industry trends. • Knowledge of scripting technologies using bash, and similar tools. · •Demonstrated experience in any of the following considered a plus: ITIL methodology, multipath support, Splunk queries, Red Hat boot process, storage (NFS and block) connectivity. · *This client has a convenient downtown Chicago location near Union Station, flexible schedules, an onsite health club, tuition and certificate reimbursement, and more.
