*Position :* *Network Security Engineer* *Location of Position: Snoqualmie, WA.* *Length of Contract: 5 months+* *Anticipated Start Date: 1/4/10* *Hourly rate : DOE* *2 **REFERNECES REQUIRED* *Network Security Engineer Job Description* *Responsible for clients’ customer’s data security and privacy by working as part of an operations team that support security hardware in a highly dynamic environment. Provide support & solutions for incident response and other information security issues. Works with engineering groups to create, document, implement, validate, and manage policies, procedures, and standards that ensure confidentiality, availability, integrity, and privacy of information. • Manage firewall policy lifecycle process from review, approval, implementation, publishing, verification and maintenance. • Participate on a 24x365 “On-Call" security team that supports the enterprise network. • Works with Engineering teams and other tier II groups to guarantee that corporate policy, procedures, and standards are executed to ensure the security and privacy of information on T-Mobiles data network. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Good background and experience in supporting enterprise class networks • Knowledge and experience in incident response activities and compliance • Knowledge of current technological trends and developments in the area of information security. • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks to complete independently and within time frame established • Knowledge of the following technologies is required: -Writing firewall security policies -Security Event Management Systems -Diagnostic tools such as IP packet capturing and decoding -Operating Systems: -UNIX - Solaris, HP/UX, or Linux -Windows – NT/XP/VISTA -Using security related tools and scripting -Networking components including firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, VPN, and etc. -TCP/IP protocols -OSI Seven Layer Model • Very good understanding of security controls, control systems, and business drivers that impact security controls • Knowledge of SEC, FFC, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and or Gramm-Leach Bliley Act regulatory policies & guidelines • Security authentication, security applications development methodologies, security architecture • Security operational procedures, organizational, business continuity skills, disaster recovery skills • Hands on experience working with products like CheckPoint [Enforcement Points and P1], TACAC, F5 [LTM, 3DNS, and GTM], CrossBeam, Juniper, Infoblox, SGW, Webwasher, ACME Packets, and packet sniffers • Experience with remote access, terminal servers, etc * * * ****Additional Notes:* *Checkpoint, Crossbeam and F5 BigIP experience will be required.* *As for on-call, we have rotation schedule. *** * * *This position is hands-on, configuring, troubleshooting and documentation.* ** Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
