Other requirements:

Works with the leaders to identify clinical application needs and opportunities 
for Hoag Hospital Irvine.

. Drives the identification and resolution of the system-related decisions 
needed to implement the clinical applications at Hospital Irvine.

. Coordinates the successful planning and execution of implementation 
activities for all clinical applications, including design, build, testing, 
training and deployment. This includes close coordination with existing 
Application Services staff, vendor staff and other resources who may be 
dedicated to both the project and existing support roles. 

. Creates project plans, assigns resources to tasks and monitors work 
assignments on a daily basis. Manages project-related issues and risks, 
provides periodic status to the project leadership team and ensures all project 
deliverables are successfully completed in accordance with PMO standards.

. Works with application vendors and the Vendor Management team to plan and 
secure vendor information and resources needed to correctly (re)configure 
applications to meet the expanded needs of the system . Works closely with the 
Workflow teams to ensure the processes and workflows are appropriately 
reflected in the design and build of the clinical applications . Works closely 
with the Application Integration team to assure the clinical applications are 
effectively integrated with other Hospital Irvine applications and 
existingsystems

 

Required Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or 
equivalent work experience.

7 or more years of healthcare clinical information systems work experience,

5 or more years experience managing clinical IT staff

Role: Senior Data Analyst/Data Modeler -- 

 

Duration - 1+ years

 

Location - Pittsburgh, PA

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work closely with business customers, users, application designers and business 
systems analysts to define the data requirements and reporting requirements. 

Perform research and analyze requirements. 

Identify high-level business rules for data models. Responsible for the design 
of conceptual, logical and physical data models based upon analysis of complex 
business requirements. Perform Dimensional and ER modeling using Erwin data 
modeling tool and perform data assessment, data cleansing strategies. 

Create a corporate Metadata Repository allowing users to manage and leverage 
enterprise metadata.

Ensure that the developers and database administrators responsible for 
developing the database thoroughly understand the requirements and designs. 

Responsible for managing and reporting status on modeling deliverables as well. 
Ability to develop ad-hoc reports when needed.

 

REQUIRED:

Strong Data Modeling Skills

Good Cognos Reports/ Dashboard skills

Strong Data Warehousing skills

Strong Analytical skills

Excellent Communication Skills

Min 8 years experience with large Data Warehouses Min 8 years experience with 
Oracle Database Min 5 years experience with PL/SQL Min 3 years experience with 
COGNOS 8.4 Dashboard experience is a plus Experience in the Health and Human 
Service industry or Public Sector is preferred not a must
