**** Our Client is looking for *Computer Operator II – Winston-Salem, NC*. This is a 3+ months Contract position. *Job Title:* Computer Operator II * High Level Job Description:* Assists in monitoring and controlling the computer. Assists in the operation of computer and peripheral equipment. Competent in several phases of operation, requiring direct instruction and guidance for other phases. Assists in carrying out various duties associated with operation of mainframe and peripheral equipment including record keeping regarding output units, stores, and supplies. Competent to work on several phases of computer operations with only general direction. Goals and objectives area assigned by an immediate supervisor. Work performed depends on others for instruction, guidance, and direction. Deals with routine to moderately complex problems or issues. Generally none but may occasionally assist more junior operators. Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and 2 - 4 years experience in computer operations, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. * Job Description:* Provide 24x7x365 Multidivisional monitoring of critical system & applications. Provide support/troubleshooting of the UNIX and Intel environment where appropriate. This role will require a self motivated individual that can multitask and adapt to a dynamic work environment. The individual should have a strong customer focus, and have average skills in Unix & Intel environments. Strong troubleshooting and hands on skills required. Candidate must have in-depth knowledge of major Windows subsystems and administration tools. Experience supporting Intel server technologies, including Windows NT & 2000, 2003 & OS/2. Working knowledge of Intel server hardware configurations. Candidate should be familiar with all major server components (BIOS, RAID/disk subsystems, NIC, etc). Above average knowledge of (Windows NT/XP/2000/2003), Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, Ability to clearly document issues and resolution steps.
