6+months Contract *Position Description Position Roles/Responsibilities/Accountabilities * � Provide engineering support for Asset Management and Investment Accounting applications, proprietary and vendor, including: o Enhancements and new software development o Maintenance, upgrades and other software support activities o Research and design of new tools and techniques � Design and develop application components using a variety of technologies which include Informatica, Java, VB, VBA, MS Access, Markit EDM and scripting. � Utilize data management tools and techniques in SQL Server and DB2 environments to ensure impacts to data are considered � Work collaboratively in a team with application developers, business analysts and business system analysts � Interact regularly with end users of the software products we support. � Utilize techniques to ensure applications meet high quality standards. � Mentor other application engineers to develop skills and knowledge. � Excel as a member of a cross-functional agile team. � Available for 24x7 team rotational support for production systems *Position Qualifications * � Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science or Mathematics � 3+ years technical experience in one or more of the following: o Java development (Java, Spring, Hibernate, J2EE, and HTML) o ETL development including Informatica PowerCenter o Data integration work including experience with SQL Server, DB2 and/or tools such as Markit EDM o Multiple vendor package implementations and integrations � Interest in Asset Management/Investments including invested asset types (stocks and bonds) and securities markets. � Experience working in an agile environment as a member of a Scrum team preferred. � Experience working with front or back office Investment systems a plus.
