CSRA (formerly CSC) is looking for an experienced Hadoop Administrator to help architect, design, and deploy an enterprise level Hadoop solution on Cloudera. *The following types of tasks and activities may be included:* · Design, Development, testing and deployment of new system in Hadoop environment · Hadoop clusters design, installation, configuration and monitoring, troubleshooting, security, backup, re-sizing addition / deletion of nodes, performance monitoring and fine-tuning for application development on local and internal cloud · Development and test environment setup installation and configuration with Hadoop Core, HDFC, MapReduce, Yarn, HBase, MongoDB, Hive, Pig, ZooKeeper, Oozie, Ambari, Java, etc. · Developing a migration plan for other data sources into the Hadoop system · Load and transform large sets of structured, semi structured and unstructured data · Design and integrate backend real-time performance metric system · Hands-on experience with related, complementary open source software platforms and languages (e.g. Java, Linux, Apache, Perl/Python/PHP). · Hands-on experience with Data warehouse, BI, and ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) tools (e.g Informatica, Actuate, Pentaho). · Experience in autosys or similar job scheduling tools. · Knowledge of NoSQL platforms (e.g. key-value stores, graph databases, RDF triple stores). · Detailed knowledge of RDBMS data modeling and SQL. · Ability to design solutions independently based on high level architecture · Ability to implement Hadoop based solutions. *Required Skills:* · Knowledge of HADOOP Framework and programming in Hive and Pig tools, Design, Best Practices and troubleshooting · Understanding of Unix/Linux system, file systems, shell scripting · Strong knowledge of Dimension Modeling · Extensive experience in architecting ETL / OLAP solutions Secondary Skills · Experience with any analytical tool, languages, or libraries (e.g. SAS, SPSS, R, Rapid Miner) is a PLUS. · Other Hadoop tools such as Hive, Spark. · Predictive modeling, esp. PMML · Agile methodology, esp. Scrum · Source version control systems · Continuous integration · Collaborative environments · Strong written and oral communication skills.
