VSG delivers Information Technology solutions, staffing and workforce management services to global Fortune 1000 companies, across various industry vertical marketplaces. Our Direct Client is looking for the candidates for below mentioned position. *Role : Software(Java) Developer with Testing Experience* *Location : Rockville, MD* *Interview : Phone and F2F* *Duration : 6+ Months* Note: *This is not a QA role* Client looking for a *strong core java developer* who has experience developing test cases from scratch or using tools like *Selenium WebDriver*. They also need to have *SQL *and *Angular* experience. Nice to haves include : *AWS* experience, *GWT*, or *Big Data* experience (*Hive *and* Scala* a major plus). This is a senior Java Developer position, and anyone with lead experience will also be helpful. *Responsibilities:* Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures. Test system modifications to prepare for implementation. Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability. Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers. Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content. Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes. Create or maintain databases of known test defects. Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates. *Qualifications:* Minimum 2-4yrs software development experience using Object Oriented languages (Java, C#, & C++) Java Preferred. Computer Science background preferred. Minimum 2-4yrs Professional experience writing code on a team, familiar with version control & SDLC And understanding of relational SQL (Oracle, Postgres preferred) No need for a SQL expert, but at minimum able to understand simple SQL queries A passion for quality Experience writing test plans a plus Comfortable in a fast-paced Agile environment Familiarity with cloud computing, especially the AWS ecosystem (S3, EC2/ELB/ASG, RDS, EMR) a plus. Experience performance testing or security testing/cybersecurity a plus. Spring/Hibernate experience a plus. AngularJS/NodeJS experience a plus. Experience with MapReduce and MRUnit is preferred. Spark or Scala Knowledge is a plus.
