*Position : Oracle Application Performance Engineer* *Location : Pleasanton, CA:* *Duration : 3 month contract * *Hourly rate : DOE* The PeopleSoft Application Performance group works with the development organizations to maximize the performance of the PeopleSoft products. We are active participants in the application design and proof-of-concept testing and prototyping. Throughout the development cycle, we ensure that core transactions and processes of each product have gone through rigorous performance tests by applying our unique Single-User and Multi-Users Trending methodology. We participate in collaborative efforts with the Benchmarking and PeopleTools performance teams on performance tuning, scalability and regression testing. A big part of our role is to help PeopleTools and Application development groups in resolving customer performance issues. We also provide training and brown bag sessions to the application teams. *Brief Posting Description * Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. *Detailed Description * As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging and performance testing of software applications. *Job Requirements and Qualifications * • Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. • Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. • Preferred Qualification: BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. • Minimum 4 years of knowledge and experience on PeopleSoft Tools and Applications such as HCM, FMS, SCM, CRM. • Minimum 4 years of knowledge and experience of Oracle rdbms and at least one of the following databases: SQL Server, DB2 LUW, DB2/zOS. • Minimum 4 years of knowledge and experience on Tuning and Scalability testing and benchmarking methodologies. • Minimum 4 years of knowledge and experience in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, C++, COBOL. • Minimum 4 years of knowledge and experience in at least one of the following operating systems: UNIX/Linux, Windows 2005 and later, zOS.
