*Role: Storage Management Specialist*

*Location: Austin TX*

*Duration: 4 months + Extendable*



Provides efficient and reliable storage resource assignment defines SAN
management procedures.

Understand current storage particular EMC VMAX and Cisco/brocade switching
technology options must be versed with EMC products including VMAX and ESAN
as well as HDS storage frames.

Develops and/or assists in implementing SAN engineering/deployment
practices for storage management.

Installs, configures, tests and implements storage management software and
hardware.

Monitors use and availability of storage resources.

Maintains and modifies SAN procedures to meet high availability and mission
critical business needs.

Troubleshoots SAN related issues and takes appropriate actions.

Generates reports and analysis on storage usage.

Maintains storage configurations to provide capacity planning and
performance monitoring/tuning of systems.

Assists with benchmarks, evaluates and makes recommendations for the
selection of storage management software and hardware products.

Possesses skills and knowledge related to network, operating systems,
Storage Area Network (SAN), & Network Attached Storage (NAS).

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related
field. Or equivalent work experience.

Typically has 3 plus years of IT work experience.

Requires a high level of expertise in multiple system environments.

Extensive experience preferred with EMC VMAX, VPLEX, VNX, ENAS, HDS
networking, storage and systems administration including virtualized
environments is a plus.

Ability to effectively discuss technical issues with other team members.
