*Length: 3 months* *contract* *Job Description:* Operational Data Store- Working on the batch confident reporting *Position Overview:* *Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for:* · Development of batch modules · Design of batch modules · Delivery batch modules · Will be working with a development team, BA, QA, and PM’s for the modules they will develop. · Will conduct code check in, data analysis, and understanding source system data *What would a normal day for this position look like??* · Most of the day will be heads down development · Will be expected to attend meetings as necessary *Skills Overview:* *What are the MUST have skills that you are looking for in a candidate?* Must have : · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, technical field. · Oracle P/L SQL Development Experience – 5 years solid experience in SQL, P/L SQL in developing production quality scripts. · Good understanding of ETL work flows. · Experience in writing complex SQLs using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets. · Prior experience in an Enterprise Data warehouse / Operational Data Store environment Nice to have : · Experience with big data and object oriented programming languages (python, java, etc.). · Experience in handling data from multiple sources (Relational , XML , Files) and integrating them for Adhoc analysis · Ability to parse log files for large amounts of data. Converting unstructured data to structured data . · Retail domain knowledge and POS systems experience are a plus *What are the technologies and the depth of the technologies that a candidate must have in order to be successful in this role?* · SQL and P/L SQL—3-5 years of experience · Oracle—3-5 years of experience · Unix shell scripting · Maestro job scheduling · Informatica—Nice to have · SSAS/SSRS—Nice to have · XML—Nice to have · Tableau—Nice to have *What are the soft skills that you feel candidates must-have in order to be successful in this role?* · Good communication skills · Interpersonal communication skills · Facilitation skills · *Must be willing to pair program* *Please provide three industries that would produce fitting candidates:* 1.
