BI Developer:
*Responsibilities: *
Identify business requirements of data warehouse. Plan, design,
schedule and coordinate data warehouse analysis, design, modeling,
development, and deployment.
Design end user interface including reporting. Develop best
practices for data loading and extraction into and out of the data warehouse
Develop code, towards resolving the bugs
Follow procedures for coding conventions and documentation
Participate in weekly project team meetings
Occasionally contact customers as may be needed to clarify the
intent of a new feature or resolve a problem
*Required Skills:*
6+ years strong development experience with SQL Server 2005/2008
(T-SQL), SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, C# or .NET Framework
Hands on experience on data warehousing, data analysis and
modeling.
Experience in performance/fine tuning queries (all SQL objects) to
be more efficient and maintainable
Candidate should be able to independently design solutions and
should be a quick learner.
Experience with storage systems such as SAN, load balancing and
partitioning.
Experience with Agile practices & methodology
Attention to detail, strong problem solving, debugging, trouble
shooting skills, deals with ambiguity & self motivated
Ability to work closely and collaborate independently across a
feature team
Excellent organizational, communication both written and verbal,
and motivational skills
Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, related technical
discipline, or equivalent work experience
Experience with following / applying engineering excellence best
practices
*The following development skills are a definite plus:*
Web Development and Web Services (ASP.NET, XML, XSLT, CSS,
JavaScript, AJAX, IIS)
Experience with Silverlight
Experience with SharePoint
Visual Studio SQL Project and Automated build experience
