Responsible for the design, development and administration of
transactional and analytical data constructs/structures. Included within
those responsibilities are the areas of data access and delivery
technologies. Includes expertise in data quality, data organization,
metadata, and data profiling. May provide technical support on data
warehouse teams. Data set sizes are usually huge (in excess of hundreds of
millions of records). Demonstrated ability to move from one sequential
assignment to the next (work environment and priorities can change quickly
depending on business needs).
Demonstrated ability to move data between production systems and across
multiple platforms
Very strong SAS programming (data step / base SAS, basic statistics, macro,
SQL, and reporting) and database / data warehouse knowledge. Familiarity
with different database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MVS, Teradata).
Experienced in complicated data manipulation and analysis. Passionate in
process engineering, automation, efficiency, and flawless execution.
Passionate in data mining and generating insights from data. SAS macro skill
is a must.
5+ years experience with Financial Services clients
Experience with major querying tools desired
Coordinating others work while involved with multiple work streams
No OTJ except for data and systems training
Desired
Common skill sets – Oracle, VB and UNIX 5+ years experience
OLAP/SQL Tools 5+ yrs experience with MVS, Teradata, SAS, Brio or comparable
Hyperion desired
Ability to communicate strategies and processes around data modeling and
architecture to cross functional groups and senior levels
Ability to influence multiple levels on highly technical issues and
challenge
Education: science or engineering with solid quantitative training,
preferably computer science, statistics, mathematics, econometrics, or
management information systems.
Experience in financial / banking industry preferred but not required

Someone with exceptional SAS skills and someone good at evaluating queries
and making improvements and building up Best Practices.
>From Manager - I will also be looking for someone who can take our codes,
talk to folks and create detailed documentation on those in the principles
of Business Process Management (knowledge of CTQ, SIPOC, RACI, Process Maps,
Swim Lanes, etc. will be essential)

I am looking specifically for someone adept at VBA and Excel Macros and who
has good skills and experience with reporting tools and suites. Since most
of the data processing is done in SAS and SQL, at the minimum, the candidate
should have those skills.
Must have the following:
-VBA

-Excel Macros
-Sql (teradata if possilbe)
Additional and preferred:
-Crystal Reports
-Buisness Objects
-SAS unix
Need to be able to write code in excel, pull from SAS and SQL and display in
powerpoint
Manager looks for people that are very process oriented, strong process
management and able to document processes. Someone that understands the
requirements and able to find out why....not just taking requirements and
working but really digging to understand them.
