Hi,
This is for my direct client opening for a Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise
2005 Consultant *- *Cleveland, OH.* * This is a 1 month contract position.
The hourly rate is DOE.
Looking for a resource that is proficient with the performance tuning of
Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise 2005. This resource will be assigned to a
project team consisting of application developers, testing resources,
business analysts and software vendor engineers. Their role is to assist in
the identification of poor performing SQL statements, assist with developing
more optimal SQL statements and assist with the optimization of the existing
database design to improve end user ad hoc query performance to meet system
service levels. You will be asked with analyzing current system performance,
help identify bottlenecks, formulate recommendations and assist with
implementation of fact based solutions to improve system performance.
Required Skills :
3-4 years of hands-on SQL Server performance tuning experience
Advanced skills with writing and reading SQL statements and their impacts on
performance
Experienced with Microsoft's profiling and query analysis toolsets to
identify root causes to formulate recommendations
Advanced knowledge of SQL Server's configuration properties, settings and
indexes optimization
Advanced skills in creating and reading execution plans
Advanced knowledge in index creation and modification to improve query
performance execution and execution plans
Must be a team player and have excellent communications skills
Duration:
Start immediately for approximately 3-4 weeks (until performance issues are
resolved)
Candidate Must Have :
