*Title: Data warehousing Architect/ BI Solution Architect (Oracle CRM
pref.)*
*Location: Warrenville, IL*
*Duration: 1+ year (long-term; possible extension every 6 months)*
*** Oil & refineries background exp. Is preffered ***
· Experience in both data architect and data warehouse architect to
do data modeling, as in ERWin,
ER Studio.
· Data warehouse architect w/ designing the data model for a data
warehouse used by transactional
systems.
· ETL and the infrastructure build-up; need to also understand the
ETL architecture.
· Suufficient experience in Oracle CRM will be a definite advantage.
· Able to name the specification for the production data warehouse
servers, i.e. CPU, memory, disks;
other servers like clustering, mirroring and DR.
· Understand physical databases too, like table partitioning, file
groups and materialised views.
· Have experience in both logical architecture & physical
architecture in the data warehouse.
· Database platforms: Oracle CRM, SQL Server knowledge, Oracle all
major versions, Teradata
knowledge, Netezza knowledge, etc.
· Data serving elements, i.e. processing reports (stored as PDFs,
ready to be served to achieve split
second response time), refreshing OLAP cubes.
· Real time warehousing experience on a 7x24 application
· Must know to resolve problems rel. to data warehouse architect,
dimensional modelling, ETL and
infrastructure, servers management, disk configuration etc.
· BI solution architect with data warehouse as the back end
(Business Intelligence is front-end)
thorough understanding of Data warehousing --- data model, the ETL
and the databases.
· BI reports, the OLAP cubes, the analytical applications, the data
mining, the KPIs, the dashboards,
the score cards, and the performance management.
