Familiarize with existing Linux based Host-software, evaluate competing software platforms and develop a windows based software platform. Design GUI in collaboration with the hardware design team. Setup and maintain revision control using WinCVS or Github. 2. *Visual Studio C++ project* . Build Windows software using the Linux platform as a guide. Implement the new GUI to work with initially UART and ultimately with UART and CAN bus simultaneously. 3. Perform extensive *test and characterization* of the Host software. 4. Prepare *documentation* and release collateral – media CD, flash drive, Web download *Qualifications* Skills/Knowledge required: 1. Excellent knowledge of Windows device drivers 2. Good experience with Visual Studio and Windows Applications using C++ 3. Skilled in Software Debugging 4. Experience with revision control – WinCVS, GitHub, or similar 5. 2-5 years of software experience 6.
