POSITION* *MUST PROVIDE VISA COPY AND PHOTO ID* *Role: Ruby on Rails Agile Developer (Frontend Ruby on Rails Agile Web Developers) * *Location: Sacramento, California, United States* *Duration: 1 Year contract* *Interview Process: 2 rounds, typical 1 hour each* *Description:* Our dynamic Sacramento team is searching for a Ruby on Rails Developer who will join a local project team that will be working with a national leader in child welfare policy and practice. The developer will be part of a dynamic Development Team responsible for development, modernization, and enhancement (DME) services and operations and maintenance (O&M) services in a full-throttle development environment. *Duties and responsibilities:* The Frontend Web Developers shall perform as part of the CALS Development Team. The Frontend Web Developers shall create and deploy user-facing interfaces for CALS that confirm to the CWDS CWS-NS Project standards. The Frontend Web Developers will work in partnership alongside the CALS Business Team. Developers will work closely with other team members *Critical success factors for the candidate include: * High productivity, high quality work, collaboration and cooperation with other teams and participants, estimation and planning skills, innovation and creativity in problem solving, and efficient use of team resources to maximize productivity in named tasks. Additionally, the developer will be responsible for providing input into the organization, direction and management of development activities. *Required qualifications* · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) · 5 years of development experience (REQUIRED!!!) Prefer 8-12 yrs. · *Must have 5 years of Large Scale System Development and Maintenance Project experience. (REQUIRED)* · 2-5 years writing Frontend using Ruby on Rails, prefer 4-6 years RoR · Must have at least 2 years of experience with Agile Development tools and techniques. · 2 years consuming Restful APIs (REQUIRED) · Test-Driven Development (TDD) – Strong background here!!
