Position QA Engineer Location Lewisville, TX
Duration 6 Months *Locals only onsite Interview is MUST* The QA Engineer will participate in all phases of product releases as a member of an Agile Scrum team. You will have the autonomy to create and employ world-class QA practices. The primary function is manual QA, but will move to more automation functionality as you implement these plans. In order to be successful in this role, you will need an advanced level of QA skills, the ability to adapt to a wide range of QA projects and the experience/knowledge to provide consultative solutions. Responsibilities: Applies analytical and problem solving skills to clarify user stories and determine appropriate testing scenarios and suites to validate the iterative development of products against functional and technical specifications. Conducts functional, regression, validation, integration, performance testing for GUI, Batch and Backend processes Logs, tracks and verifies the resolution of defects Initial manual testing environment but will move toward automated testing in near future Strives for maximum requirements coverage via test suites and test cases Develop and execute test plans, test cases and scripts for your agile delivery team Proactively identifies issues and acts upon them by owning an issue to its resolution Participates in standard scrum rituals as daily stand-ups, iteration planning, backlog grooming, etc. Supports the completion of QA deliverables, tracking bug reports and change requests and their resolution Consistently ensures that all tests are conducted and documented according to the client’s standards Qualifications: 3 - 5 years of QA testing experience or QA certification Knowledge of the Agile scrum methodology of testing required Website testing and API validation experience Ability to write good SQL queries Ability to work independently and create QA solutions for a small dev team Ability to test both manual and automated test scenarios/cases Experience transitioning from manual to automated QA Ability to positively manage work in a sometimes very chaotic environment with changes coming from multiple directions at once i.e.: timeline, scope of work, etc. Ability to articulate open issues and risks in a timely manner to management.
