Kindly give reply to *[email protected]* This is my direct client opening for a Sybase DBA – New York, NY. This is a 6 Months Contract position. The Hourly rate is DOE. We are looking for a strong Sybase DBA role, that would include working with developers and development teams on design and performance review of database components of our application, as well as participating in the maintenance, enhancement, and daily operation of the existing capabilities, including typical DBA tasks (server configuration, backup, management). Ideal candidates will possess a combination of strong Sybase IQ technical skills, ideally with some knowledge of Sybase ASE and/or IBM DB2 as well. Principal Responsibilities Work with our developers to assist in design and rollout of new software on the Sybase IQ platform. Responsibilities would span technical design, development, testing, tuning, release and support, and take responsibility for operation of our database servers, including Sybase ASE, IBM DB2 and Sybase IQ.
