Oracle PL/SQL Developer with Banking Experience Charlotte, NC 6 Months This project is a major enhancement to an existing application. The existing application uses Informatica to pull data from upstream sources to load into staging tables. Oracle stored procedures are used to transform the data into tables that users pull data from. Only 1-2 developers have been assigned to this project over the years so there is not an excessive IT infrastructure. The users have to be SQL-savvy power users to use the application. They pull data via MS Access, do their own transformations and write their own reports. This project is to do away with all that. The business manager wants a consolidated data warehouse w/ Star Schemas, Type 2 Dimensions for historical data archiving and a full OBIEE reporting solution that the business can use. The first phase of this project is to model the new data warehouse and build the ETL to load it up, including implementing the Type 2 Dimensions. I'd like the architect to have a reporting background so that future reporting needs can be taken into account when building the data warehouse. However, the first two guys in will be doing data modeling and building the ETL to create the data warehouse. We'll use the existing Informatica loads of data but build new transformations to a new data warehouse or data mart. There won't be any report writing initially. So I need 2 guys experienced in Oracle PL/SQL but who have worked in data warehousing and built type 2 dimensions in Kimball Star Schemas.
